Azure Lichen
A naturally occurring light blue lichen glaze. The azure lichen has more lift and texture than our other glazes and has the potential for more flaking during firing. It’s a perfect choice for a “perfectly imperfect” look. For less flaking, the double azure lichen glaze is a good choice.
The lichen glazes crackle during the high fire of the kiln allowing the terracotta to show through. Each piece has its own crawling pattern and unique texture and can change depending on the shape of the reflector.
