Double Azure Lichen
A naturally occurring light blue lichen glaze applied and fired twice. The double application of the azure lichen reduces the natural flaking of the single azure lichen glaze and allows for a greater color saturation while retaining the unique texture of the lichen glazes.
The crackling of the glaze occurs during the high fire of the kiln and gives each piece its own pattern and unique texture.
