Double Black Lichen

A deep black lichen glaze with warm tones applied and fired twice.

For our double lichen glaze, we apply our single lichen glaze, fire it, and then do it all again. This allows for all the texture but less of the terracotta showing through for more of a color saturation. Each piece has its own pattern and unique texture that happens during the high fire of the kiln.

Some flaking of the glaze will occur during firing.
